Activity Ideas |
- Visit the local implement dealership and discuss a variety of farm machinery and the
safety concerns with each type of machine.
- At a farm or dealership, contrast the safety features of older and new equipment and
show how hazards need to be controlled.
- Have the youth list the farm machinery on their farm or the farm that they will be
working. Discuss safety concerns with with the different types of machinery. Identify
common safety procedures on the different types of machinery.
- Discuss the various warning and caution decals found on farm machinery. Count the number
and type of messages on one piece of machinery.
- Review the requirements for movement of different types of machinery on public roads.
