Activity Ideas

  1. Have the class meet at a local implement dealership or tractor repair shop or invite in a tractor mechanic to explain the basics of tractor maintenance.
  2. Conduct a tractor hazard inspection on the demonstration tractor to explain the items. Ask youth to take a tractor hazard inspection checklist home and complete it for a tractor they will be using. At the next class session, list the number of hazards that were identified and how each of the hazards can be corrected.
