About the Center
Authorized in May 1994 by Wisconsin Act 455 to respond to the agricultural safety and health needs of the farming community, the University of Wisconsin Center for Agricultural Safety and Health is funded primarily through Cooperative Extension within the University of Wisconsin-Extension (UWEX) and is a joint effort of UWEX and the Department of Biological Systems Engineering, College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, University of Wisconsin-Madison. Activities of the Center include Extension outreach and research. Some projects are funded entirely or in part through external grants.
